ART Power HK: a non-commercial, community-wide campaign created to serve the Hong Kong arts ecosystem during the pandemic

ART Power HK was initiated as a four-month community campaign that kicked off in March 2020 with the objective of putting a spotlight on the arts in Hong Kong following the cancellation of activities set for the city’s March 2020 Arts Month. As the extent of the pandemic became apparent, the campaign announced its extension to 30 June 2021 offering a much deeper response to the objective of maintaining momentum for the arts locally. ART Power HK was able to bring the arts online to allow audiences who could not physically attend exhibitions and activations to enjoy arts content and conversations.  Through the campaign, the arts community united to showcase those arts and culture are an essential foundation of a robust and creative society. ART Power HK achieved its core objective of maintaining momentum for Hong Kong’s arts sector during uncertain times.
