Besides a creative hub of Asian arts and culture, Asia Society Hong Kong Center premises was used as an explosives magazine by British military in since 1860s. With the modern enhancements and lush jungle surroundings, every corner is a possibility for a dramatic snap. The site is the most interesting examples of adaptive reuse and heritage conservation.

Now, we are bringing the first architecture camp to younger audience who are interested in this topic. Lead by an architect, you can learn more the site, heritage conservation and architecture design!

About the facilitator
Vicky Chan, AIA is a Hong Kong based architect. He founded Avoid Obvious Architects in 2012 with offices in New York and Hong Kong. The firm has been pushing sustainable buildings and cities with focus on combining art with green technology.

Vicky founded Architecture for Children, a volunteering group to teach children about architecture and sustainability with goal of improving communities.

Vicky is the President of AIA Hong Kong, a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
